Well, let me ask you this…how many times have you signed up for a freebie/opt-in from someone and started being sold to immediately?
I hope it is few and far between, but when it does happen, it doesn’t feel good because you have no connection with that person.
I like to think of the welcome sequence as filling the gap between that freebie and the sale.
It is where we build the connection, allow our audience/subscribers/readers to get to know us and what content we are showing up to provide.
It is our place to shine, and then once they are comfortable with us then we can begin to sell to them.
