Why the Welcome Sequence is Important - www.maganward.com

I'm Magan!

Wife, mama, and educator obsessed with chick-fil-a mac & cheese and dry shampoo.

An entrepreneur since the ripe old age of 5 when I would sell a single cracker with spreadable cheese from my lunch box for $0.25.

I have built a successful photography business while working for a decade in the insurance industry.

I hold my Masters in Education and love to teach. So it is no secret that I would teach from all I have learned along the way.

If you’ve been around for a hot minute you already know I’m a little bit of a nerd over email marketing.

I discuss how to write your welcome sequence, what to create for your opt-in, and which email marketing providers are the best bet for you and the stage of your business.

But my absolute # 1 rule:

Your welcome sequence is a non-negotiable.

Bossy? Maybe. But it’s true. You can’t have an email list without an opt-in of some sort and a really good, strategic welcome/nurture sequence!

Why is the email welcome sequence important?

Well, let me ask you this…how many times have you signed up for a freebie/opt-in from someone and started being sold to immediately?

I hope it is few and far between, but when it does happen, it doesn’t feel good because you have no connection with that person.

I like to think of the welcome sequence as filling the gap between that freebie and the sale.

It is where we build the connection, allow our audience/subscribers/readers to get to know us and what content we are showing up to provide.

It is our place to shine, and then once they are comfortable with us then we can begin to sell to them.

So if you are curious on how to begin writing your welcome sequence, then check out this quick little post.

And if you want to know everything to put in your welcome sequence then this is the post for you!
