Choosing Your Email Marketing Provider

When it comes to email marketing, there are so many options. Which do you choose? And what do you need to look for in an email marketing provider?

Does the idea of choosing from all the email marketing service providers out there make your head spin?

I know. Someone said ConvertKit is what all the “greats” use…

…but you heard MailChimp was free…

…then someone in a group told you that MailChimp was terrible and that FloDesk was where the party is at.

I get it, you are confused AF and don’t know where to start choosing an email marketing provider that is right for you and your business.

So, how do you choose an email marketing provider? There are a gazillion of them.

From FloDesk to ConvertKit to MailChimp – how do you know which one is what you need for this stage in your business?

Determine Your Budget and Consider Included Features

You first need to determine your budget, how quickly you anticipate growth, and what features are available to you with those providers to get what you want out of them.

There are several free options, both MailChimp and MailerLite offer these.

When it comes to ease-of-use, MailerLite is at the top of the list! You will find their platform to be easy to learn.

If you would like to opt to try out MailChimp, you need to go in knowing that they have changed their plans and you can now only have 1 subscriber group on the free plan. If you want to have more than one, and trust me when I say that you can’t effectively run an email list with only one subscriber group, then you might try out MailerLite as listed above for a free option that allows for multiple subscriber groups.

FloDesk offers a free-trial and after that trial it is $19 / month with a code from other FloDesk users and that price is good for the life of your account, no matter how large your email list gets!

FloDesk is definitely one of the more aesthetically pleasing options when it comes to email marketing providers and is very user friendly – when you log in you don’t have multiple options to click, it is incredibly straight-forward and hard to mess it all up.

If you anticipate very quick growth and want more robust options, then ConvertKit is a great way to go! It isn’t free, but though it has many more options than others it is incredibly easy to learn for beginners.

ConvertKit includes options that some of the other email marketing providers don’t, including tags to further segment your audiences.

Whatever provider you choose, know that you are making strides to building a life you love and creating freedom through your email list!
